It’s been reported Maury has been making visits to our new hire classes. Included in his message to them is that this job is not a career and that if they’re looking to be a career flight attendant, then this is not the company for you. When questioned on this statement, he reportedly responds that within a short period of time Allegiant Flight Attendants become unhappy or frustrated with Allegiant.

Thank you for your recent response to our letter to our Flight Attendants. While we do not agree with your recollection of events, you did prove our point. No matter what your explanation, when you make decisions to change part-time, implement a preferential bidding system, negate our seniority, outsource our work, slash our commission, and require us to closely audit our own payroll, the result is the same; Allegiant makes more money and our Flight Attendants suffer through loss of income and a lower quality of life. That is why we must have a fair Contract.

"I remember sitting at the table the one time Maury was there, when he likened delays as "one offs" and said if it was really a long delay he wouldn't mind "throwing some money at it". So we decided to hold him to it and had our members ask for money for the delay. Big surprise. None of them were paid."

Last week all Allegiant employees received a letter from our CEO, Maury Gallagher describing his observations of our Company.  It is clear that while we have all been busy dealing with our “high season” this summer, Maury sees our jobs and our experience from a very different place.
